Train of Thought
Posted by Deutlich on November 2nd, 2009 | Filed under: UncategorizedI feel like a crazy person. Practically ALL.THE.TIME.
I want to curse a few people out for being total assholes.
I hate people who don’t use their signals before they merge into a new lane. Fuck you, jerks.
I can’t backtrack. If I have plans for the day, my route has to be mapped out beforehand in such a manner that I will not repeat any of my commute for any reason.
I wish I knew how to throw a real punch.
I would appreciate if my attitude would stay in check a wee bit more often. Specifically when talking to my mother.
I don’t like my father.
I am so thankful for my friends; they understand me like no other.
I sometimes just cry to cry.
I often wonder what’s out there in the universe. Surely, we are not the only planet with living beings in this great galaxy.
I say that I’m atheist because it cuts the conversation short. In truth, I’m more spiritual than most.
I seem to be obsessed with documentaries. The last one I watched, “God Grew Tired of Us,” made me sob.
I adore the History Channel and A&E.
I can’t not watch Flipping Out. Zoila is my hero.
I really like Bono. Frankly, anyone who comes from a war-torn country is bound to have some political things to say. Just because we’ve become complacent, doesn’t mean everyone in the world has too.
I still don’t understand why the U.S. has so thoroughly implanted itself in the Middle East. I mean, I do. But I don’t.
I am horrible at remembering grammar rules and I’ve forgotten the majority of my times tables. Except 9×9. That’s 81.
I hate details. Unless it specifically deals with me or something I do, I need the cliff notes version.
I have tried to mold my round peg into a square hole on more than one occasion. It always backfires.
I can barely believe that I’ve made amends with my ex-roommate. But I have and I’m damn glad for it.
I loathe the ugly side of politics.
I am collecting vinyl. My favorite, so far, is Creedence Clearwater Revival. Now if I could just get my fingers on some Marley, Hendrix, Beatles and Joplin… and a record player.
I still can’t believe I’m going to meet Nicole this weekend. After two years of blog-fodder. I am absolutely beside myself with excitement! For those in the area – The Irish Channel on H Street @ 8pm on Saturday. Come join the festivities!

i have always wanted to collect vinyl, ever since i found some of my parents’ old records in a box somewhere. but i don’t have a record player. maybe that’s not a good enough reason to stop me…
That definitely should not be reason enough. Record players are super easy to find!!

I have tons of vinyl.
Well, technically my mom has it, but what’s hers is mine because those are the laws of parenthood.
Have fun with Nicole!
That is so cool you have so much vinyl! I can’t WAIT to expand my collection.

this is my past two weeks. everything is annoying and i want to punch 90% of the people i interact with in the face.
but then, there’s music and i’m happy.
Then there IS music. Thank goodness for that, eh?

i loathe people that don’t use blinkers or cut me off. seriously it’s ridiculous and i honk like a crazy person these days, haha.
I just don’t even understand how on earth people decide to merge without a signal. I just.don’t.get.it.

“I have tried to mold my round peg into a square hole on more than one occasion. It always backfires.”
That sums up my life tidily.
I miss vinyl. And record players.
You can get re-acquainted w/those in a jif! Gotta love used record shops. Oh, and I’ve found HUGE collections of vinyl @ thrift stores too!

So EXCITED for you to meet Nicole.. You will have to post about how fabulous she really is.. As I am sure you are as well.. I wish I had “known” you when we were in DC we could have totally gone drinkin.
ME TOO!!! Ahh.. I hate when paths don’t cross.

I’m… pretty crazy. Today I swore for almost an hour straight. At work. Just because, really.
Crazy feels kinda good. Or, as my good friend often says, “Messed up feels magical.”
Sometimes, crazy does feel kinda good. Other times? I hate it more than hate itself. Blech.

I HATE people who don’t use their turn signals when merging. Seriously, it takes only two seconds, DO IT
Thank you! Exactly!

Next time I see you, I’ll teach you how to punch. The trick is the arm twist for that extra “pow.”
Aww, well thanx! Except for the part where we’re always in public, packed locations. But thank you none the less!

I have an unnatural hate for Bono. That guy just bothers me something fierce.
You’re not the only one. Haha. I’m just a bit confused by the fierce hatred.

Have a fantastic time with Nicole! I’d be lying if I said I weren’t jealous… of both of you.
I did! And thank you!

Is there a non-ugly side to politics?
November 3rd, 2009 at 8:25 pm
How do you know that you don’t know how to throw a real punch?
This is not an invitation to punch me.
You know, that’s a damn fine question. I should find willing punchbags to figure it out.

God Grew Tired of Us totally shook me. Amazing movie.
I just watched a crazy one called “Sweet Crude” about the situation regarding government/oil company exploitation of people in the Niger Delta. Highly recommended.
Apparently to thrown a real punch, you twist your hand inwards while in motion. Now my punches apparently actually sting. The boy regrets teaching me that one.
I will take this information and use it henceforth. Both the recommended video & the punch technique.
And I thank you.

I identified with many things said. But this one stuck out more than others @ I still don’t understand why the U.S. has so thoroughly implanted itself in the Middle East. I mean, I do. But I don’t.
Same here. Same here.
It’s just mind boggling, eh?

Oh, I agree with SO MANY of these. But the one that truly struck my fancy is NO BACKTRACKING. I’m a big fan of no backtracking. I get all anxious and angry when I have to backtrack.
Gah! HATE BACKTRACKING. HATEHATEHATE!

Life will unfold as it is and we must observe it rather the resist it. In due time wisdom will knock on your heart, you must embrace it.
